Passenger Traffic Increases by 6 Percent

According to information from Zvartnots International Airport, the total passenger traffic at Armenia's two airports in December 2019 amounted to 238,066 people, exceeding the figures from the same month in 2018 by 6 percent.

"In December 2019, compared to the same period in 2018, passenger traffic at Zvartnots increased by 6 percent. If in December 2018, 213,953 passengers used the services of Zvartnots International Airport, the figure for December 2019 was 226,786 passengers.

In December 2019, passenger traffic at Shirak Airport in Gyumri reached 11,280 people, which is a 7.1 percent increase compared to the 10,535 passengers in the same month of 2018.

In total, the passenger traffic at Armenia's two airports in 2019 was 3,169,144 people, which is a 10.9 percent increase over the 2018 figures. According to the airport's statement, there was also a 13.7 percent increase in flights and landings at Zvartnots and Shirak airports from January to December 2019, compared to the same months of the previous year.
