Weak Cyclone from the Black Sea to Penetrate Armenia; Snow Expected in Yerevan This Evening - Gagik Surenyan
A weak cyclone from the Black Sea is expected to penetrate the territory of the Republic of Armenia this evening. This was reported by Gagik Surenyan, head of the meteorological center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, on his Facebook page.
On the evening of January 12, snow is anticipated in the northern and central regions of the republic, with snow covering significant parts of these regions overnight. Tomorrow afternoon, snow is expected particularly in Vayots Dzor, Syunik, and Artsakh.
The height of the expected snow layer will be between 4 to 8 cm, while in Vayots Dzor, Syunik, and Artsakh, it may reach 8 to 13 cm. According to Surenyan, snow is expected to start in Yerevan this evening, continuing throughout the night, with precipitation expected to cease by tomorrow afternoon. The snow layer in the capital is anticipated to reach 4 to 6 cm.
