Mkhitaryan Out for One Month Due to Injury
The midfielder of the Armenian national team and Roma, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, is sidelined for at least one month due to injury. This was reported by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The 30-year-old player sustained a left thigh injury during the match against Torino in the 18th round of the Italian Serie A on January 5, where his team lost 0-2. Mkhitaryan was substituted in the 63rd minute of the game.
Earlier, it was reported that he would miss the "wolves'" crucial upcoming match. In the last round of the first half of Serie A, the Romans are set to face Juventus at home on January 12.
This marks Mkhitaryan's second injury in the current Serie A season's first half. In the autumn, he was absent for two months due to a groin injury, missing several matches for both his club and the Armenian national team. After returning to the pitch in December, he was gradually regaining his form.
So far this season, Mkhitaryan has played in 9 matches for Roma, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.
