Wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan Advances to Finals of Iran Tournament

The freestyle wrestling Takhti Cup, which kicked off in Tehran, featured competitors in the 57, 65, 79, 97, and 125 kg weight categories on January 8. This was reported by the federation.

2019 European champion Arsen Harutyunyan has advanced to the finals of the tournament in the 57 kg category after securing three victories. In the semifinals, Harutyunyan defeated Mihran Jaburyan, who became the Armenian champion in that weight category in December 2019, with a score of 12-0.

On January 9, wrestlers in the 61, 70, 74, 86, and 92 kg categories will take to the mat, as well as the consolation and finals matches for the 57, 65, 79, 97, and 125 kg weight classes.
