The Youth Olympic Games Start in Lausanne

The Youth Olympic Games will kick off tomorrow in the Swiss city of Lausanne. The games will take place from January 9 to 22, featuring 1,880 athletes from 70 countries.

Armenia will have only one representative at these games. 16-year-old skier Spartak Voskanyan will compete in both the sprint and the 10 km classical events. The Armenian athlete is set to arrive at the competition venue on January 17.

It is noteworthy that all tickets for the opening ceremony of Lausanne-2020 were sold out on the first day of sales. Admission to all sporting events and award ceremonies of the Winter Youth Olympic Games will be free.
