10-Year-Old Boy Hangs from Door Lock Regains Consciousness

Georgy Derzyan, spokesperson for the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Centre, has reported that a 10-year-old boy who was found hanging from a door lock in a village in the Gegharkunik region has regained consciousness and started breathing on his own.

“Good news: On January 5th, the 10-year-old boy was found hanging from a door lock in a village in the Gegharkunik region and has regained consciousness and begun to breathe independently. The doctors assess his condition as serious, but there is positive dynamics,” Derzyan noted. It is important to remember that the child had experienced asphyxia and loss of consciousness.

After receiving first aid at Vardenis Medical Centre, the boy was urgently transported to Yerevan by doctors from the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Centre using a reanimobile. He is still in the intensive care unit under strict supervision of the medical staff.

Earlier, we reported that on January 5th a 10-year-old boy was discovered hanging from a door lock in his village. The child had suffered from asphyxia and loss of consciousness. After receiving first aid at Vardenis Medical Centre, he was quickly transported to Yerevan by the doctors.
