Several Individuals Entering Armenia Suspected of Infectious Disease

The Facebook page of the Health and Labor Inspection Body of Armenia has published a statement: "Several individuals suspected of having an infectious disease have been registered at the points of entry on the state border. During the New Year period, the Health and Labor Inspection Body has been operating in an enhanced mode.

Given the large flow of people departing and arriving in the country during the holiday season, there has been intensified monitoring at border control points, especially at the Bagratashen, Bavra, Ayroum-Jiliz, and Gogavan-Privolnoye sanitary checkpoints into and out of Georgia. Special attention has been paid to individuals arriving in the country, focusing on clinical signs characteristic of infectious diseases and conducting automatic temperature measurements.

During the monitoring, several individuals were registered as entering the country with suspected infectious diseases at the state border crossing point, all of whom had arrived from Georgia. Epidemiologists at the Bavra and Ayroum-Jiliz sanitary checkpoints have recorded elevated temperatures in five individuals, one of whom also exhibited an unknown rash. The relevant territorial polyclinics have been informed about the presence of fever in these individuals for ongoing monitoring of their condition."
