Border Situation Calm During Holiday Period: Ministry of Defense Spokesperson
The border situation was calm during the holiday period. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, in an interview with "Armenian Time," adding that the situation was quite normal compared to the same days of the previous year.
He mentioned that only yesterday there was an incident in the Tavush region, where the Azerbaijani side attempted to carry out engineering work on the frontline, to which the Armenian side responded with warning fire. "There have been no other incidents," the spokesperson said.
When asked whether the adversary was trying to advance in Tavush, Hovhannisyan replied, "Any positional improvement is, in some sense, an advancement." It should be noted that the State Border Service of Azerbaijan announced yesterday that a serviceman, Farzali Farzaliyev, was killed by sniper fire from the Armenian side in the direction of the Kazakh region of Tavush.
