Due to the incident in Vayots Dzor, Ara Mkhitaryan fell into a coma, and his health condition has not improved thus far.
The lieutenant colonel was initially diagnosed with "moderate contusion of the right hemisphere of the brain, subdural hematoma in the region of the right temporal, parietal, and frontal lobes, expressed with lateral dislocation of the temporal lobes" and underwent emergency surgery after being transferred to the hospital.
It should be recalled that on the night of September 18, 2019, in the town of Yeghgnadzor, Vayots Dzor Province, Lieutenant Colonel Ara Mkhitaryan was subjected to beating.
