Studies on Passenger Transportation Companies
Under the instruction of Artush Grigoryan, the Deputy Head of the Inspection Body of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, studies and observations were conducted by transportation safety specialists of the Shirak Territorial Division during November-December 2019. These studies focused on organizations engaged in urban, intercity, interregional, and interstate passenger transport in Gyumri, as well as an inventory of advertising billboards installed on state-owned public automobile roads passing through the region.
During the inventory of advertising billboards, 15 illegally installed billboards were identified, and their advertisers were notified in writing regarding the legalization or dismantling of these illegally placed advertising structures.
As a result of violations detected in passenger transportation companies, measures of liability stipulated by law were applied, resulting in the issuance of 14 protocols. Seven protocols were issued to “New City Transport” LLC, serving urban passenger transportation in Gyumri, for operating without a transport sheet.
Six protocols were issued for regular intercity passenger transportation companies, including “Mantashi Valley,” “Ard-Progress,” “Mush-Armen,” “Robert Trans,” “Trans Akntart,” and “Lilit Mariam,” due to the absence of appropriate notations on the transport sheet and signage. One protocol was issued against “Hrachya and Tigran” LLC for carrying out regular interregional passenger transportation without a transport sheet.
Administrative liability measures were imposed on 14 organizations due to the identified violations. It should be noted that oversight of the activities of passenger transportation companies operating in the Shirak region by the Inspection Body will be ongoing.
