Stepantsminda-Lars Road Open for All Vehicle Types

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 23 at 08:30, the roads in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. There is some black ice present on the Vardenyats Pass. Truck drivers are advised to use chains.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia Coordinating Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
