The bridge over the Kerch Strait is 19 kilometers long, making it the longest bridge in Russia. It was constructed at the expense of the federal budget, with a total cost of nearly 228 billion rubles. The automotive section of the bridge was opened on May 15, 2018, with passenger cars and buses commencing traffic the following day.
