VIDEO: Protests in Iraq Leave 40 Dead in One Day
In the last day, clashes between police and protesters in various regions of Iraq have resulted in the death of 40 people. According to apnews.com, most of the unrest occurred in the southern part of the country, where 36 protesters were killed. Reports indicate that 245 people were injured. Additionally, 4 protesters were killed in Baghdad when security forces fired live ammunition at demonstrators.
Since the protests began on October 1, more than 350 people have died, and thousands have been injured.
