Urgent: First Footage of the Assassination of Two 'Thieves in Law' in Sukhum

Yesterday afternoon, in the center of Sukhum, the capital of Abkhazia, three masked assailants opened fire on the patrons of the 'San Remo' café from a vehicle. As a result, two men with high status in the criminal hierarchy were fatally injured. The victims are identified as 38-year-old Astamur Shambayev (Astik) and his peer Alkhas Avijba (Khasik).

It is reported that Shambayev died on the spot, while Avijba succumbed to his injuries later. Additionally, one man and a waitress from the establishment were also injured in the shooting. They are currently in critical condition in the hospital.

Later, law enforcement discovered a burnt vehicle in one of the districts of Sukhum, which is believed to be the getaway car used by the assailants to flee the crime scene.
