Side Mirror Theft Cases Uncovered; Arrests Made
On November 28, at 10:10 AM, a resident of Alek Manukyan Street in the capital called the police to report that the side mirrors of their parked Mercedes had been stolen during the night.
This information was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia. Thanks to the measures taken, it was determined that the theft was committed by a 21-year-old young man living on Andreaniki Street. On the same day, detectives from the central division of the Yerevan police and the Marash division apprehended him from his residence.
The young man has provided a confession. Efforts are underway to recover the stolen items. Preparatory materials are being compiled.
On November 25, criminal investigators from Kanaker-Zeitun detained a 23-year-old for theft. Subsequent actions revealed that he had stolen side mirrors from parked Mercedes cars on Rubinyants and Ulnetsi Streets on the night of November 21, and from a Mercedes parked in the yard of a building on Yan Rainsi Street on November 23.
On the night of November 24, he attempted to steal side mirrors from a Mercedes parked in the yard of a building on M. Avetisyan Street but failed to complete the theft and left without taking anything. It has also been established that on the night of November 15, the young man stole side mirrors from a Niva parked in the yard of a building on Ulnetsi Street.
Measures are being taken to recover the stolen items. Preparations are underway.
