Fatal Accident in Yerevan: Policeman Hits Pedestrian Crossing at an Unauthorized Area with Mercedes

On December 1, a fatal accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:50 AM, the driver of a Mercedes, numbered 71 FL 707, identified as 27-year-old Felix Hovhannisyan, hit a female pedestrian aged between 60 and 65 who was crossing the street at an unauthorized area at the intersection of Tigran Mets Avenue and Tigran Mets Lane.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene, called for Yerevan emergency services (1-03), and assisted the paramedics who arrived promptly to transport the injured pedestrian. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and did not regain consciousness shortly thereafter.

Afterward, the driver reported the incident to the Yerevan traffic police, who dispatched officers to the scene.

The police are currently working to identify the deceased. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, the driver is employed at the Main Department of the Police Protection Service.
