Alarm Signal: Man Drags Dog Through Street and Throws It into Truck (Video) Econews
A resident of Yerevan reported to the Municipal Center for the Management of Stray Animals about an unprofessional method used by employees to capture a stray animal, which poses a threat to the animal's physical and mental health. The alarming resident recorded the process.
This was reported by the environmental information website EcoNews.am. In the video, several employees from the Municipal Center for the Management of Stray Animals can be seen trying to capture a medium-sized dog. An employee attempted to 'secure' the animal with a special device, but evidently in an inaccurate manner; the device is meant to fit around the animal's neck, yet the video shows the dog being 'captured' by its spine.
Not only is this capture method incorrect, but the employee also drags the dog along the street before throwing it into the truck's cargo area. Instead of safely securing the animal and placing it in a nearby cage, the employee 'caught' the dog by its spine, dragging it down the street and tossing it into the vehicle's trunk.
