27-Year-Old Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Aiding Drug Trafficking

The Investigation Department of the Criminal Code of Armenia has identified the individual involved in aiding drug trafficking and the mechanism behind it, in connection with a criminal case being examined.
According to the information obtained in the ongoing investigation, the individual accused of illegal drug trafficking, while present in a correctional facility, continued to engage in the illegal distribution of drugs, particularly MDMB(N)-2201.

As a result of extensive investigative and procedural actions, the mechanism of the drug trafficking has been clarified, as well as the identity of the person who assisted in acquiring and distributing the drugs—identified as a resident of Yerevan, born in 1992. The investigation also uncovered a chain of illegal drug trafficking.

Investigative data revealed that the individual in the correctional facility smuggled drugs through the 27-year-old woman, who is the partner of the aforementioned inmate. The drugs were hidden in various locations in Yerevan and delivered to recipients once buyers transferred the required amount to the bank account provided by her.

During the investigative proceedings and operational-search activities, the 27-year-old woman was identified and arrested on suspicion of aiding illegal drug trafficking. The investigation is ongoing, and necessary measures are being taken to uncover other individuals connected to the illegal drug distribution, the source of the drugs, and other relevant circumstances for the inquiry.
