VIDEO: Police Detain Pickpocket on Tumanyan Street

On November 22, a report was received at the Central Police Department regarding a man who had his wallet stolen from his pocket while on bus route number 50. The wallet contained cash and bank cards.

The department's officers took appropriate measures to identify the pickpocket. Officers from the 6th division of the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan city police joined the efforts, and as a result of their joint work, information was obtained that the theft may have been committed by a 21-year-old resident of the city of Kapan.

On November 25, around 11:00 AM, the suspect was detained on Tumanyan Street in the capital. He provided a confessional statement. Measures are being taken to recover the stolen property. Materials are being prepared on the case.
