Thieves Tied Up Woman, Stole Money and Jewelry: Police Report
On the night of November 19, a report was received at the Aparan police department regarding a robbery. Three individuals armed with batons entered a house in the village of Aragat, tied up the 64-year-old owner, demanded and took money, jewelry, bank cards, and fled.
A criminal case was initiated on the basis of robbery. The detectives of the Aparan police department began operational measures in cooperation with the Main Department of Criminal Investigations, the Aragatsotn regional department, and their colleagues from the Ashtarak and Mashtots police stations.
The official website of the Armenian police reports that as a result of extensive measures, the circumstances of the incident were clarified, and on November 26, information was received regarding the identities of those involved in the crime.
Hours later, detectives from the Aparan, Ashtarak, and Mashtots police stations apprehended the suspects. A 39-year-old man from the Norashen district of Yerevan was taken to the Ashtarak police station. A 30-year-old man from Ashtarak was also identified and apprehended.
In Aragat, where the incident took place, the third member of the group was located. A 37-year-old man living in Aragat was also taken to the Ashtarak police station.
They have been presented to the body conducting the preliminary investigation and have been arrested. Operational-search measures and investigative actions are ongoing.
