Son of 'Crazy Vardges' Stabs Son of Former Police Official, Surrenders to Police

Thanks to the explanatory work of police officers, 33-year-old Hovhannes Zoroyan from Yerevan voluntarily surrendered to the Erebuni police department, from where he was transferred to the investigative unit. According to shamshyan.com, H. Zoroyan, who is the son of the infamous figure in the criminal world known as 'Crazy Vardges,' Vardges Zoroyan, has been charged under Article 112, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

The criminal case was initiated based on a report received on August 23 from the Erebuni medical center. Around 19:45, the Erebuni police were informed that a citizen diagnosed with 'stab wounds to the left elbow joint and the anterior abdominal wall' was admitted to the medical facility. An operational group from the Erebuni police department, headed by Chief Vardan Vardanyan, went to the hospital. While doctors were fighting for the victim's life, the Erebuni police and investigators determined that the victim was 23-year-old Gevorg Zakaryan, a resident of 6th Street of the Railwaymen.

It was also established that on the same day, around 19:00, an argument occurred between G. Zakaryan and 33-year-old Hovhannes Zoroyan near house No. 8 on Artsakh Street, during which Zoroyan inflicted bodily injuries on G. Zakaryan with a sharp instrument. The latter fired shots at H. Zoroyan with a gas pistol he had in his possession. H. Zoroyan fled the scene, while G. Zakaryan grossly violated public order. Police and investigators, as a result of inspecting the scene, found two 9mm cartridges.
