15-Year-Old Teenager Caught Stealing from Goshavank

On November 26, at 13:10, the Dilijan Division of the Police received a report from a candle seller at the Goshavank monastery complex. The report indicated that between November 25 at 17:00 and November 26 at 10:00, silver jewelry and approximately 30,000 drams in small change had been stolen from the monastery's gavit after breaking a window using technical means, causing a damage of 100,000 drams.

Thanks to the operational and investigative measures taken by the officers of the Dilijan Division, a 15-year-old teenager was summoned to the division on the same day at 19:55. In the presence of an educator, he confessed that on November 25, around 20:00, he had taken advantage of the open window of the altar to commit the theft.

Efforts are underway to recover the stolen items. Materials are being prepared for further action.
