VIDEO: The Special Investigation Service is Searching for the Person Subjected to Violence in the Video

The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia is seeking to identify the individual who was subjected to violence by police officers in a video. They ask the individual and anyone who recognizes him to contact the Special Investigation Service.

This information was shared by the Special Investigation Service of Armenia regarding a video published on November 21, 2019, by the news agency NewsMedia.am, titled “Scandalous Video: Local Police Forcefully Extracting Testimonies with Clubs and Tear Gas.” An investigation has been initiated under Article 309, Part 2 of the Criminal Code based on materials prepared by the Special Investigation Service. Measures are being taken to determine the identity of the citizen seen in the video and uncover all circumstances of the incident.

In light of this, individuals with information about the incident and the citizen in the footage are urged to contact the Special Investigation Service of Armenia (address: 13a V. Vagharsyan St., Yerevan, Armenia) or call at (+374) 11 900 019.

Additionally, it is noted that the Special Investigation Service can ensure the confidentiality of individuals who disclose important information regarding the criminal case if necessary. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
