VIDEO: Camera Captures Car Radio Theft in Yerevan
The Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia is taking measures to clarify the circumstances of a large-scale theft committed by a group of individuals in preliminary agreement, as part of an ongoing criminal case in the investigative division of the Center and Norq-Marasht administrative districts of Yerevan.
According to preliminary information, on September 7, 2019, a resident of Yerevan reported to the Central Division of the police that on the same day, at around 04:58, unknown individuals secretly stole the pair of radio speakers from his parked car on Zakyan Street in Yerevan, causing significant property damage.
Following the incident, a criminal case was initiated at the Central Division of the Yerevan police under the first and second parts of Article 177 of the RA Criminal Code, and the case was referred to the investigative division of the Center and Norq-Marasht administrative districts for further investigation.
During the investigation, footage from security cameras at the crime scene was obtained and reviewed, showing individuals committing the alleged crime. In order to ensure a comprehensive, objective, and thorough inquiry into the criminal case, measures are being undertaken to identify the persons responsible for the alleged offense.
The Investigation Committee urges these individuals to present themselves to the authority conducting the proceedings, or anyone who recognizes them or has any information regarding their identity or whereabouts to contact the investigative division of the Center and Norq-Marasht administrative districts of the Yerevan Investigation Department.
