Fact: Russian Drivers Earn Three Times More Than Armenians, Issue Raised with NSS

The newspaper "Fact" reports that the Armenian employees of the "South Caucasian Railway" have repeatedly expressed discontent over biased treatment and low wages. Last month, railway drivers demanded an increase in their salaries, resulting in the management conceding to a 10% raise for employees effective November 1.

According to information, there is a significant wage disparity between Armenian and Russian employees of the railway, which frequently causes dissatisfaction among local staff.

It was revealed recently that two new brigades of drivers from Russia have been dispatched to Armenia, having already begun work to replace Armenian drivers.

There are rumors within the SCWE that the recent 10% wage increase for Armenian employees did not sit well with the company's management, which has supposedly developed an internal plan to penalize the workers.

Employees at the "South Caucasian Railway" have been unsettled by the recent events, and no clarifications have been provided from the railway's headquarters regarding the ongoing situation.

It is worth noting that Russian drivers will be earning nearly three times as much. Additionally, due to the inexperience of the Russian drivers, those at the Gyumri locomotive depot sent a letter yesterday to the NSS, the Prosecutor's Office, and the police to raise their concerns.
