Was the issue of arresting Serzh Sargsyan on the agenda or not? Vanetsyan's scandalous answers

In an interview given to 168.am's 'Pressing' program, former head of the NSS and ex-president of the Football Federation Arthur Vanetsyan addressed, among many questions, the inspections conducted in his father's company immediately after his dismissal from the position of NSS director. When asked whether it was expected, he responded, 'I cannot say whether it was expected or not. I think that in the new Armenia, commissioned inspections should not be conducted among business entities, but no matter how much I try to convince you and the viewers that these inspections have nothing to do with my resignation, I cannot. In fact, there have been inspections in the company owned by my father, and no violations were found.'

On the issue of his surprise regarding the Prime Minister's orders related to cash register receipts at gas stations, Vanetsyan replied, 'Of course, I have had many reasons to be surprised, but I do not want to talk about that right now. I can only say that the text of my resignation was also formed based on these surprises.'

• - Is the public in delusion, Mr. Vanetsyan?
  - I think yes.
• - Is your personal security at risk or not?
  - I will not answer that question.
• - There is a large-scale fight ongoing against the 'Soros' office in Armenia. Does the activity of the 'Soros' office pose dangers for Armenia?
  - If we answer briefly, yes.
• - Are there political forces funded from abroad in Armenia, Mr. Vanetsyan?
  - I think yes.
• - If so, are they engaged in active political activities?
  - Yes.
• - Are they on the side of counter-revolutionaries or revolutionaries?
  - I will not answer that question.
• - Is a revolution possible in Armenia? Some of my interlocutors have said that the demand for change is still on the streets.

  - I think so.

  - I said that the time will come, and I will definitely speak and present my views on everything that is happening in our country today, what has happened in our country, and what I envision for the future.
• - Many predict active political and public engagement.
  - I have served my homeland all my conscious life. I have served as an NSS officer, and I simply cannot live any other way. I must continue to serve my homeland. And how that service will manifest itself, time will show. It depends on the demand and the events that will occur. As for your question about my future activities, I am a free person, not constrained by anything, and I will decide whether to engage in politics or public activities.
