VIDEO: 221,000 AMD Cashed from ATM Using Card Stolen from Russian Citizen
The Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia is taking measures to identify the individual who committed the apparent theft and withdrew money using another person's bank card.
According to preliminary data, on May 25, 2019, a Russian citizen reported to the Central Division of the Police of Armenia that on May 24 of this year, an unknown person secretly stole money and their bank card in an unknown location, with which 221,000 AMD was withdrawn from an ATM located on Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan, causing property damage.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Central Division of the Police of Armenia under part 2 of Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, and the preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
During the preliminary investigation, the recordings from the security cameras at the crime scene have been received and examined. In order to ensure a comprehensive, objective, and complete investigation of the criminal case, measures are being undertaken to locate the person who allegedly committed the crime.
If anyone recognizes the person captured in the footage or has any information regarding their identity or whereabouts, please report it to the Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
