Reports of Corruption Submitted to Sarhat Petrosyan, No Action Taken: Avinyan Receives Letters

Following the resignation of Mr. Sarhat Petrosyan, I received a letter from one of the heads of the Cadastre Committee, where he spoke about more than 20 corruption schemes that were reported to Mr. Petrosyan, and according to that letter, Mr. Petrosyan did not take any action. This was stated today by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, during a conversation with reporters.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that it is now necessary to understand how to relate to such statements.

"I think we should treat it calmly, not make abrupt movements, analyze, understand, and also decipher the implications. Because the department, whose head sent me that letter, will soon be closed. I want to say that in all statements, we should not only pay attention to the statement itself but also understand the motives behind why this is happening," said Avinyan.
