The third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, has stated that he has never had direct or indirect contact with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This announcement was made via a post on Serzh Sargsyan's office Facebook page.

The post specifically states: "Serzh Sargsyan has never had direct or indirect contact with Nikol Pashinyan." It continues to address that from time to time, certain media outlets disseminate unfounded rumors misleading the public about alleged communications between the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, and Nikol Pashinyan during various periods.

It is officially declared that no direct or indirect communications have occurred, except for a brief public meeting that lasted a few minutes on December 22, 2018, at the Armenia Marriott Hotel.
