I Will Return to Armenia After My Treatment: Surik Khachatryan

Former Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan stated in an interview with Tert.am that he was aware of the decision to arrest him and has sent documents through his lawyer indicating that he is receiving treatment abroad.

"A tentative date for the completion of my treatment has also been provided by the doctors, after which I will return to Armenia," Khachatryan said.

The former governor also spoke about the charges against him regarding organizing a fraudulent auction, expressing surprise at the allegations. Khachatryan expressed hope that a fair investigation will clarify everything.

"It is interesting to know what those individuals received in exchange for their testimonies against me, what motivated them to give statements," Khachatryan added.
