The father of one of the March 1 victims, Gor Kloyan, objected to the prosecutors’ request to be removed from the proceedings during the court session. This was reported by Armtimes.com.

During his speech, Kloyan notably stated, “We are not mentioning the main reason for what happened on March 1; who is the main culprit. The disgraceful elections of February 19, 2008, where money was distributed right in front of me…” However, he was interrupted by presiding judge Anna Danibekyan, who urged him to express his position regarding the request to dismiss the prosecutors.

In response, Kloyan continued, “The main reason I will state very briefly: All the protesters from Republic Square joined Levon Ter-Petrosyan, while Serzh Sargsyan stood alone with his few rebellious singers. This is no longer the Armenia of Serzh Sargsyan, Robert Kocharian, or Manvel Grigoryan; this is the Armenia of our heroes who won the Four-Day War. This is the new Armenia of our children who perished on March 1; this is the new Armenia of Judge Anna Danibekyan.” He concluded his speech affirmatively, “I am in favor of our prosecutors bringing this case to a conclusion, and thus, long live freedom, long live Armenia, and long live us and our children, who will live in a free and happy Armenia. Let’s go!”
