The National Assembly Elects 5 Members of the Corruption Prevention Commission
The National Assembly has elected five members to the Corruption Prevention Commission. The government nominated Lilit Asatryan’s candidacy. A total of 102 deputies participated in the secret ballot, with 2 ballots deemed invalid. 85 deputies voted in favor, while 15 were against.
96 deputies voted for Edgar Shatinyan, nominated by the My Step faction, against 6 votes opposing him. The Prosperous Armenia opposition faction nominated Narek Hambardzumyan, who received 71 votes in favor and 31 against.
The Bright Armenia opposition faction proposed Gaykush Harutyunyan’s candidacy, which received 90 votes in favor and 12 against. Aramayis Pashinyan, nominated by the Supreme Judicial Council, received 85 votes for and 16 against, with one ballot declared invalid.
