Inspections Underway at the Company Owned by the Deputy Prime Minister's Advisor's Brother

The 6th Department of the RA Police is conducting inspections at 'Eloyan Architects,' a company belonging to Zareh Eloyan, the brother of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan's advisor Avetik Eloyan, based on publications. This information was provided by the RA Police in response to a query from 'Haykakan Zhamanak.'

It should be noted that the former head of the Cadastre Committee, Sarhat Petrosyan, recently stated that Avetik Eloyan is involved in 'clique behavior approaching corruption.' Petrosyan indicated that in 2012, Avetik Eloyan opened the design company 'Eloyan Architects' in the USA with his brother, Zareh Eloyan, and that the company's official website features only one apartment interior design project in Armenia.

According to him, 'Eloyan Architects' is also currently involved in several projects, including a new football complex, a multi-story residential area in the Dalma region, and several other projects. Furthermore, he pointed out the well-known 70-story building project, which, according to an interview, was commissioned at the end of 2017. Although this claim is dubious, if it can be proven that it was commissioned before his appointment, then regarding this project, I believe we can rest easy (even apologize), but nonetheless, the question remains of how our best interior designer, Zareh Eloyan, will continue this work without the 'experienced' Avetik Eloyan,' Petrosyan stated.

In a conversation with 'Azatutyun' today, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said he still does not understand the term 'clique behavior approaching corruption.' Avinyan noted that, as far as he knows, Eloyan plans to file a lawsuit regarding Petrosyan's statements. When asked if he had played a role in ensuring that 'Eloyan Architects' does not receive such orders, Avinyan responded that he has no involvement in any company receiving orders: 'Everything must be done in accordance with the law. If there is a conflict of interest, it must be held accountable according to the law.'
