VIDEO: Drinking Water is Sold in Armavir via Vending Machines

The business of selling water is thriving in Armavir, as the residents have been unable to drink water from their taps for years due to it being sourced from technical artesian wells. According to Hetq.am, the water business has developed so much that vending machines selling liter bottles of Talin water have begun to appear in the city.

One such machine has already been set up in the yard of a building in the city, offering water at 10 drams per liter. Users place a container under the tap, insert a coin into the machine, and wait for the water to fill up in return for their payment.

There is no information on the vending machine about who is selling the water. Only a mobile phone number is provided for reporting malfunctions. When trying to call that number to inquire about the water seller, a young man answered, but did not provide any information. He only mentioned that the sales are conducted by an organization whose name remains confidential.
