Residents of Arzumanyan 10 Address Raise Alarm

Auroranews has received a call for help from residents of Arzumanyan 10. They are requesting attention to the problems of their emergency residential building.

Below is their message (without editing):

“Dear editors of Radio Aurora, driven by desperation and hopelessness, I am writing to you and asking for your help to voice our hard-to-solve problem through your site: the lives and health of the residents of the emergency building at Arzumanyan 10 are in constant danger — the walls crack and widen with every sound as if there is an earthquake. We run out, flee, wait a moment, and then return home again; the doors and windows do not open, the floor sinks down, and huge stones fall from the walls.

We have applied everywhere. You can find videos and posts on my Facebook page, but this issue remains unresolved because the developers refuse to deal with our building, as five of the residents are against any proposal.

The city hall is obliged to relocate us, but there is no housing stock, and we are also applying to the government, the National Assembly, and our Prime Minister to help allocate housing stock to citizens of the Republic of Armenia when they are in danger. Please help resettle the 13 families in an extreme situation. I can confidently say that soon there will be a tragedy, and funds will surely be found to build a monument.

My eldest son participated in the April war and protected us, but now there is no one to protect his family. The city hall has offered an option to rent, but it has been discussed in meetings for years, and there is still no housing stock for us. Without a government decision, the residents are unwilling to agree. Please help us,” the message states.
