Major Car Accident in Yerevan: 25-Year-Old Driver Crashes Mercedes into ‘Fine Cars of Armenia’ Showroom
Today, on October 27, a stunt-like car accident took place in Yerevan. Around 1:40 PM, a 25-year-old resident of Gyumri, Gor Kyureghyan, lost control of his Mercedes vehicle with license plate 91 CL 991 on Verin Anrarain Street. He veered off the road and crashed into the main entrance steps of the ‘Fine Cars of Armenia’ car dealership located at 138/2 Verin Anrarain Street, shattering large glass windows.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary information indicates that there were no injuries as a result of the accident. The dealership employees were the first to assist the driver.
The incident was reported to the operational management center of the Yerevan Road Police by duty officer Armen Harutyunyan, leading to the arrival of Senior Inspector Sarkis Hayrapetyan and Inspector Petros Petrosyan from the first police company.
Inspectors are preparing materials concerning the incident. The driver underwent a sobriety test at the scene, which confirmed he was sober.
A representative from the insurance company also arrived promptly. The photojournalist reports that dealership employees mentioned that a luxury vehicle, valued at 29 million drams, had been parked in the spot where the shattered and fallen glass was located, but they had moved it an hour prior. Otherwise, the car would have been damaged. Other vehicles in the showroom were also unharmed.
