Breaking: Rescuer Dies Due to Fire in Mountains Near Vanadzor

A tragic incident occurred during firefighting efforts in the mountains surrounding Vanadzor in the Lori Province.

During the firefighting operations, under circumstances that are yet to be clarified, one of the firefighters sustained severe burns and died. Another firefighter, who also sustained burns, has been transferred to the Vanadzor Medical Center.

In a conversation with an Armtimes.com reporter, the medical facility reported that the injured rescuer has suffered burns to nearly 50 percent of his body, primarily affecting his head and lower limbs.

At this moment, an air ambulance has arrived at the Vanadzor Medical Center to transport the injured firefighter to the “Erebuni” Medical Center in Yerevan.
