Emergency Incident: Judge Threatens with Gun, Claims 'I Will Kill Everyone'
On October 26, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Kotayk region. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, at approximately 16:10, the operational management center of the Yerevan Police received a report that at around 14:38, a group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was on their way to a scene with lights flashing, when they requested to pass from the driver of a Mazda vehicle with license plate 12 NN 021. However, the driver exited the vehicle and attacked the emergency responders, pointing an object resembling a weapon at them.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, the alert was passed on to the Kotayk police, who learned that a firefighter group responding to a fire alert in the village of Balakhovit was stopped by the driver of the Mazda, who allegedly threatened with a gun, stating that 'I will kill everyone.'
Police in Kotayk established that the vehicle in question belongs to N. K., a resident of Yerevan. Hours later, 35-year-old Arthur Avagyan, a resident of Yerevan, arrived at the Kotayk police department and claimed that he was driving the Mazda at the time of the incident and was in possession of a 'Bruni 84' type pistol. However, he stated that he did not point it at anyone or threaten anyone.
Investigation materials are being prepared in the Kotayk police department regarding the incident. According to sources, A. Avagyan works as a judge at the Administrative Court of Armenia.
