Explosion Occurs During Alcohol Distillation, Resulting in 2 Deaths and 1 Injured

At 08:55 today, the 911 service received a call reporting an explosion in a vehicle in the village of Antarut, Aragatsotn Province, resulting in two fatalities and one injury.

According to Shamshyan.com, police and rescue teams arriving at the scene discovered the bodies of Norik Madoyan and his wife, Varduhi Madoyan, in the yard of a house located at 3 Street 2 in the village.

The explosion reportedly occurred when the couple connected a rubber hose to a gas cylinder of a parked Kia vehicle with the license plate 10 NN 110 and extended it to connect to a distillation device placed in their yard, attempting to ignite it, which unfortunately caused the explosion.

The stone fence of the house collapsed, and the windows were completely shattered and propelled several meters away. The bodies of the victims were dismembered. No fire resulted from the explosion.

Police and the investigative department are working to clarify the identities of the deceased, the vehicle owner, and the injured individual.
