People Killed in Terrorist Attack in Qamishli

A terrorist attack has taken place in the city of Qamishli, located in northern Syria and currently under Kurdish control. The attackers detonated a car bomb near one of the restaurants.

Following the explosion in the Banuq neighborhood, which occurred in the presence of numerous people, a fire broke out that spread to nearby parked vehicles. According to Kurdish sources, there are at least 4 fatalities and 9 injuries as a result of the attack. However, other reports suggest that the number of casualties may reach 10.

International media outlets are reporting that the responsibility for this terrorist attack has been claimed by the Islamic State group, which has been active in Syria for several years.
