Shooting in Yerevan: One Fatality Reported
Today, October 9, a murder occurred in Yerevan. At around 21:20, the law enforcement authorities received a report about gunshots in the yard of building number 130 on Andranik Street in the South-Western district.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reporting from the scene, the operational group of the Yerevan Police Department has arrived at the location, led by Police Colonel Garik Ghukasian. An operational team from the Malatia division of the police, headed by Police Colonel Arthur Zurabyan, has also arrived.
Additionally, numerous investigators from the Malatia investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia have arrived to work on the scene, under the guidance of Garegin Hovhannisyan.
The police and investigators discovered four bullets fired from a handgun at the location. While the police and investigators were conducting an inspection of the scene, the Erebuni Medical Center reported that a deceased individual with gunshot wounds had been brought in, leading to speculation that the individual sustained the gunshot injuries at the said location.
Traces of what appears to be blood have also been found near an outdoor bench at the crime scene.
