Murder in Geghanist Village

Late last night, a report was received by the Masis police department regarding a man who was transported from Geghanist village to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

As a result of joint operational-investigative measures conducted by officers of the Ararat regional police, the Yerevan city police, and the Masis police department, it has been established that around 10:30 PM, on Central Street of Geghanist, a 34-year-old fellow villager shot the victim with a hunting smoothbore firearm and fled the scene.

The injured man died without regaining consciousness after being taken to the hospital. Measures are underway to locate the shooter and the weapon used in the crime. An investigation is underway.
