Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: 26-Year-Old Injures Father While Firing Gun to Scare Stray Dogs

Yesterday, on September 11, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 2:30 PM, the police department of Malatia received a call from the 2nd medical facility regarding a citizen who had been admitted with a diagnosis of "foreign body in the lower third of the left thigh."

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a police operational group headed by a community police inspector arrived at the medical facility. Police determined that the citizen seeking medical assistance was 48-year-old Andranik B., a resident of the "Victory" neighborhood in Yerevan.

While doctors were providing him with necessary assistance, Malatia police officers found out that a 26-year-old Gour B., also a resident of the same neighborhood, had fired his gun twice into the air to scare stray dogs away from his yard. However, while reloading the gun, he accidentally discharged it, injuring Andranik B.

Materials regarding the incident have been transferred to the investigative department for further examination. A forensic medical examination has been appointed. According to G. Shamshyan's information, Gour B. is the son of A. B.
