13 Emergency Calls: Fires Extinguished in 9.5 Ha of Grasslands

On October 11, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 13 emergency calls regarding fires that broke out in various grassland areas across the republic. The fires affected approximately 200 square meters or more.

Specifically, in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan, the fire covered 1000 square meters; in the Ajapnyak administrative district, it was 3000 square meters; in the village of Karin in the Aragatsotn region, it reached 5000 square meters; on the Aghdzk-Ujan highway, one hectare was affected; in the town of Vedi in the Ararat region, 3000 square meters of wheat field burned; in the city of Ejmiatsin in the Armavir region, it was 1000 square meters; on the Martuni-Vardenis highway in the Gegharkunik region, 700 square meters were involved; in the town of Spitak in the Lori region, 3000 square meters were consumed; in the town of Yeghvard in the Kotayk region, 4 hectares burned; in the village of Ptghni, 5000 square meters were affected; in the town of Gyumri in the Shirak region, 3000 square meters were engulfed; and in the village of Horbategh in the Vayots Dzor region, 5000 square meters were burned, along with 1.5 hectares in the village of Agarakadzor.

The firefighters were able to isolate and extinguish the fires.
