Contract Soldier Injured in Accident Due to Truck
On October 9, an accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 4:30 PM, the driver of an Opel vehicle with license plate 36 GR 295 lost control while driving on the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway in the administrative area of New Life village. The vehicle veered off the road, collided with a willow tree, and continued moving before overturning and crashing into a wooden fence of a structure named 'Armenian Cuisine.'
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a citizen sitting in the outdoor conversation area of the 'Armenian Cuisine' was injured and transported to the 'Artashat' Medical Center. After receiving initial medical assistance, the victim was transferred to one of the hospitals in Yerevan.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the driver serves as a contract soldier in the RA Ministry of Defense military unit N, while the driver stated to the traffic police that the cause of the accident was a truck that created a hazardous situation for him.
