Brawl: MP Henzel Mkoyan's Brother Hospitalized

A brawl occurred between Gevorg Petrosyan, the representative of the mayor and son of a former parliament member, and the brother of a sitting member of parliament from the 'Georgian Dream' party. An investigation has been launched regarding this incident, yet for the fourth consecutive day, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has not provided clarification on this information, reports jnews.ge.

The altercation took place on October 4. The media outlet states that it is withholding details of the incident as it has been unable to verify the available information, since both parties have refused to comment, and for the fourth day running, the MIA has responded that the information is still being clarified.

“At this stage, the details of the case are being determined, and we cannot provide any further information,” a representative from the MIA's press service stated. When asked about the specific case that has been opened and on what basis, there has also been no response from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

However, Armenian Times has managed to establish that the brawl began over a common argument. Following the incident, Henzel Mkoyan's brother, Martun Mkoyan, and another individual were taken to the hospital. Martun Mkoyan underwent stitches at the hospital, while the second individual, who was also hospitalized, did not suffer significant injuries; their elevated blood pressure was normalized.
