Another Brutal Act in Gyumri: Dog Dragged by Car, Says Naira Zohrabyan
Another brutal act has occurred in Gyumri, where a dog was tied by its neck to a car and dragged along. This was reported by Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the Prosperous Armenia faction, on her Facebook page, calling on the police to find this "beast."
Her full statement is as follows:
"Gyumri Police, find this beast! Cruel and inhumane treatment towards animals seems to have become a hobby for some, and there are still deputies who are pondering whether to vote for or against our draft law criminalizing such cruelty towards animals. Tomorrow, I will present the draft law to the Permanent Commission on Legal Affairs of the National Assembly for its second reading. Meanwhile, in Gyumri, another beast has tied a dog by its neck to its car and dragged it along the road. Where do such beasts come from and grow up? The license plate of that beast's car is 35UN093, Opel model."
"Gyumri Police, consider this as a declaration of a crime. Tomorrow, at the Gyumri City Council meeting, our faction's council members will raise not only this issue but also the question of dog killings in Gyumri. This vandalism must be stopped by law as soon as possible!"
