New Regulations Against Offending Drivers

The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that the National Assembly's Committee on Defense and Security unanimously approved a positive conclusion on the draft law introduced by MPs Sisak Gabrielyan and Armen Pambukhchyan concerning amendments to the law on the specifics of administrative proceedings for road traffic rule violations recorded by video or photographic devices.

These amendments stipulate that drivers can send violations recorded by technical devices installed in their vehicles to the police via a special online application. Based on these reports, the police will prepare a record of the administrative offense and impose fines on offending drivers.

Before the Velvet Revolution, the police had plans to implement mobile video recording devices but faced various challenges.
