Hayk Marutyan Acquired a 6.5 Million Czech Koruna Villa in 2018

Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan submitted his annual declaration for 2018 to the Ethics Commission of High-Ranking Officials on May 21, 2019. This was reported by Armtimes.com.

At the beginning of the year, Marutyan had taken out a loan of 1 million drams, which was repaid during the year. At the start of the year, the cash assets of the Yerevan mayor amounted to 9 million 500 thousand drams, 190 thousand dollars, 10 thousand euros, and 120 thousand Czech korunas. By the end of the year, these figures changed to 9 million 50 thousand drams, 190 thousand dollars, 10 thousand euros, and 934 thousand Czech korunas (approximately 40 thousand dollars).

In 2018, the mayor of Yerevan reported an income of 11 million 3 thousand 584 drams and 1 million 338 thousand Czech korunas. The income was generated from salaries, rent payments, and compensation received for literary, artistic, or scientific work.

Since taking office, Marutyan had also declared information about his real estate, movable property, and securities, which, as seen in his annual declaration, did not change by the end of the year.

The Yerevan mayor owns 21 properties, including 7 apartments, 6 garages, 5 structures attached to land, 1 garage, and 2 land plots. As movable property, Marutyan declared 2 vehicles: a "NISSAN TIIDA 1.6 I" and a "PEUGEOT PARTNER TP 2.0."

Marutyan also holds shares of various sizes, valued at 25 thousand drams, 5 thousand drams, and 7 thousand 500 drams.

Alongside the mayor, his wife, Iva Marutyan, has also submitted her annual declaration. According to that declaration, Iva Marutyan purchased a villa for 6.5 million Czech korunas in 2018.

At the start of the year, Iva Marutyan had assets amounting to 12 million 930 thousand Czech korunas, 235 thousand euros, and 73 thousand dollars, which by year-end had decreased to 6 million 300 thousand Czech korunas, 235 thousand euros, and 73 thousand dollars.

In 2018, Marutyan reported an income of 70 thousand drams, generated from her salary.
