Video: Phone of Store Manager Stolen in Yerevan

The Investigation Committee of Armenia is taking steps to identify the individual who allegedly committed theft from a store in the Shengavit administrative district.

According to preliminary data, on July 26, 2019, around 6:30 PM, an individual allegedly committed a crime in a store located on Garegin Nzhdeh Street, stealing a Samsung Galaxy A70 mobile phone belonging to the store manager, causing property damage.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Shengavit department of the Police of Armenia under Part 1 of Article 177 of the Criminal Code, with the investigation being conducted by the Shengavit administrative district investigation department of the Investigation Committee.

During the investigation, footage from the store's surveillance camera has been obtained and reviewed. Measures are being taken to ensure a thorough, objective, and complete investigation into the case, aimed at discovering the individual depicted in the video.

The authorities request that the individual come forward to the prosecuting body, or anyone who recognizes him or has information regarding his identity or whereabouts, to inform the Shengavit administrative district investigation department of the Investigation Committee of Armenia.

Notice: The individual suspected or accused of the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, by virtue of a legally binding court decision.
